The news talks about selected projections of drug research in the next 20 years, where as a contextualization explains the important development that has taken science to curb drug addiction and help at a time, to overcome this distressing phase with psychological treatments.
It is assumed that in the future, technology will be sufficient for use in developing vaccines ineffective drugs, avoiding consumption and addiction in humans, as occurs today oppositely with addiction to cocaine and nicotine.
Given this scenario, the conflict over whether the measure is necessary because it would undermine the free albredrío people by depriving them of choice of some drug use. Or worse, question remains whether this measure should apply even to children, understanding them on one hand as potential consumers and the duty to protect, or other potential consumers to enter into the next twenty years the consumer market unnecessary items.
As staff, I believe that those who are opposed to such prevention, are just intellectuals who advocate more for consumption and growth of their companies (do not forget that pharmacology is the third big business worldwide) than the welfare and health of the people themselves.
